I'm not a fan of the white room arena. Lil' bland. This is a nice short you got here though, in spite of it. The animation is a little jumpy, like you added too many inbetweens of the same drawing after your keyframes and maybe went a little loose with the onion skin or something cause the poses didn't fully line up it seems. Again, just a little jumpy, or what I'd call jank if it was a game. That and the bg just being a solid colour are my only gripes. The keyframes themselves were pretty flawless, the character designs had me sold, the fbf itself when it was on point was RIGHT on point.

Glorious.

Good soundtrack, too.

bucketboi responds:

appreciate the feedback.

My, how you've come far. You're really coming into yourself. The Gerkinman... he awakens. Your transition to the truck was flawless. Really dug the old spumco-y detail shot of the toaster too. The slimey and sharp colour gradations radiating outwards were spot on. So happy to see you're this good.

Gerkinman responds:

I have much better and longer stuff on the way, loopdeloop is always just a chance to experiment.

Wonderful.

Every year, as the hands of the clock (LOL!) tick round to the good ol' Clock Day sessions, I grumble and moan about how lackluster submissive attempts to win cash will flood the portal, and the last few times I've been pleasantly reminded that we've got you around.

Thrice now you've dropped wonderfully creative and engaging submissions right in my lap. Imaginative and unerringly unique and, dare I say it, even profound. Simple in their method and presentation, that minimalistic approach has consistently belied a greater understanding of both the technical aspect of storytelling with animation, and our society as a whole.

Also, I will never, ever, get enough Tom Waits. Ever.

Well done, sir.

Munglai responds:

Blimey that's a big nice review. Thanks I really appreciate it.

lmao These were great. Bonus points go to Bug.

I laughed hard at all of them and hoopah for using my theme.

Psi43 responds:

lmao yeah, zeebmork had a great idea for the second theme already (;. Go check it out in the collab/animation forum on tba.

Comedy.

I was actually one of the very few people I heard of who supported the concept of a Zelda story in some sort of distant future world. I mean, it'd take alot of creative genius and brainpower to pull it off, but what game doesn't? I just saw a potentially great departure and expansion upon the series there.

This thing had me shitting myself laughing. Nothing better than a sudden Luigi scream.

lenkalamari responds:

robot ganon was too awesome and could only be topped by having luigi screaming his lungs off ; )

Hypnotizing.

I was gripped. Couldn't tear my eyes away until it ended. Very spectacular. I don't think I have a single complaint about it. The music really helped bring it together too, without it I think this could have ended up pretty flat.

Commendations to you both.

notorious responds:

thanks boii

Neat.

What a simple and neat little thing. I laughed, and nothing better than needless static garbling things. I do wish you had actually done a little animation, though.

lenkalamari responds:

Yeah I wish I had the foresight to see they'd be a little more relaxed with the deadline for halloween flashes. I might update it with more fbf, because drawing Ronny was a blast and I'd love to emhpasize his body language with some more frames n' that.

thanks!!!

rtil hehing

rtil definitely hehed in this.

Blordow responds:

hehe

big fuckin' lol

Ok, first off, I hate Flecko. I hate that character design, I think you poorly voice acted him, and I even felt like he was less well animated than the gravedigger.

That aside, I loved this. That slow beginning was the funniest thing I've seen in a halloween Flash yet. I hope half the people who started this just closed during that. Friggin' hilarious, man. Then you get the gravedigger who said "swishy swishy with the dead fishy" which made me happy. I think that volume joke was lame and fell flat, however.

The great joy for me was the animation of the Gravedigger/Igor thing, and the way you staged the shots in the graveyard.

FleckoGold responds:

First off...ouch... But I can't really do anything about it now. I agree with the voice acting...

I'll just have to work on Flecko...

I think PresidentZen would be most happy by this review. He wrote the lines for Igor. Great stuff.

Thanks for reviewing.

Simple and lovely.

I was wondering I might see something new from you. This was so simple and fresh. Completely without pretense. I think your drawings could have done with a little more line sensitivity to give them a more dynamic volume, but they all moved quite well.

Can't wait for another!

Andrew-Buckley responds:

Thanks man, i havent looked at your new stuff yet =). Yeah its a bit different form me. I was doing a kind of angled design on the characters, plus the line quality wasnt that great because it was scanned from paper and then bitmap traced in flash, i dint want to have to redraw it all again just to get smoother lines for such a small thing =). Yea i think my animation skills are slowly improving.
